Fashionevents, celebrity partys, house-clubs and style-events. A local hero conquers the world! There is no expression to sum up the career and development of Bastian Foxx in a better way. sexy, nobly, omitted – the best description of Bastian and his funky housestyle. He combines clubhouse, electro, and classic candy stuff to a groundbreaking mashup. He performs with one philosophy: details make the difference! his sounds are in all heads who once heard them and his shows are still remembered.
"Most of the guys playing club music dont know how a song takes effect on the dancefloor - cause they werent down there for years".
Now Bastian got inquiries of fashionlabels and high-carat clubs over all those national borders. As a model in front of the camera and as a deejay behind the decks - the fashion/music scene is his passion! Besides all this success stories Bastian remains himself and his occurrence is simply professional. He convinces through his experience, professionalism and proximity to the party crowd. he sums all this up with two words: " In concert" - and “In concert “brings him side to side to international dj-stars on high carat events - he played with Eddie Thoneick, Plastik Funk, Tube & Berger, Noel Sinner, Tom Novy, Syke n' Sugarstarr and many more. In search for “The new”, “The extraordinary” or simply “The other”, Bastian creates individual remixes and - particularly for his sets - produced skits in the studio. the result: the remix of Dj Tax - Club tools was developed in co-operation with David Puentez, became an underground club hit and effords an unbelievable support of leading DJs world-wide, moreover his new remix for lost souls departements - "I found you" is now signed on Safari Music Australia.
For those who dont know you, who are you?
"I 'm the trouble starter, punking instigator.I'm the fear addicted, danger illustrated.I'm a firestarter, twisted firestarter … just joking: I am a dj and producer based in cologne/germany. I am mashing up all kinds of ass kickin´ electronic music since i was 16 years old. I am loving this kind of music – and that is what I transfer to my audience and finally what the audience likes me for."
How old were you when you got your first gig? And where was it?
"My first gig was on my own party series called „villa rosso“ near cologne.
I discovered this concept when I was 20 years old. Now, a few years later, villa rosso became a booking and event agency with some impressive party-concepts and djs coming with it."
Which venues have you played at and which is your favourite?
"My current aim is to play all over the world once – before I got 35 years old :-)
I am still working on that – but in general my favourite gigs are happening and did happen in the places around asia."
Plans for the future?
"A wise man said: If you don´t have plans – you are dead ! In the near future I am doing some cooperations with artists of different electronic music genres. Besides that I am working on an album with my girlfriend which will be ready for release in april 2011."
What advice could you give to up and coming DJ's / producers wanting to get there name out there?
"Always do and play what you like cause otherwise you are not authentic !
Also keep listening to other electronic genres – sometimes you find some dancefloor killers in genres like: nudisco, deephouse and jackin house."
What are your main musical influences?
"I don't look up to anyone in the DJ world, and I let my surroundings and events in my life inspire me. The only influence is my girl - she is doing djing for some years now too – but mainly in underground genre, so she can give me some inspiration coming from that style...moreover the classic club tunes that I heard when I was younger are still in my mind and in my record case."
Top 5 tracks of the moment?
1. David Puentez – Melodrama

4. Moguai - Get Fresh
5.Tom Novy - I Know U Want It (Da Fresh Remix)
Upto now, what is your greatest achievement DJ wise?
"Don´t play with a laptop ;-) !"
If you hosted your own party, which 3 DJ's would you have play?
1.My girl EVA ADAMS
2.My bro DAVID PUENTEZ
3.My sister HANNA HANSEN
Any big productions to look out for on the market?
"Yes for sure – David Puentez is launching Melodrama soon – BOMB Track – you will see. Besides that my EP is coming in February with the tracks Rivertwist and Lick on it. Be prepared :-) !"
What have you been up to lately?
"Just installed NATIVE INSTRUMENTS KOMPLETE 7 ;-) on my MAC."
How would you describe your own sound and way of producing?
"My credo is: keep it international, keep it interesting and don´t limit yourself."
What would you like to achieve as a producer and DJ? What are your plans and thoughts for the future?
"Producing your own song is a unique experience. Producing takes a lot of patience and you have to know how to sequence, program, compose music, etc.. In producing I just want to get better on all these skills in the near future.
DJ'ing is a totally different skill. You have to read and play for the crowd. It's also a lot more fun and you get to meet a lot of people... hi ladies! (laughs) As I said: I want to play all over the world once – thats all i am aiming for."
If there are 6 apples and you take away 4, how many do you have?
"One Macbook and one Iphone :-) !!!"
